Police Looking for Help to Identify Robbery Suspects

Montgomery County detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in a June robbery in downtown Silver Spring.

The victim flagged down an officer from the 3rd District at about 6:15 p.m. on June 8 and reported that he had just been assaulted and robbed as he walked on Colesville Road toward East-West Highway.

“The officer observed that the victim had injuries on his face and that the victim was bleeding,” according to a press release. “During the assault, the suspects stole property from the victim. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot toward East-West Highway.”

The victim was treated at the scene, and officers were able to speak to “multiple” witnesses to the incident.

Investigators have released a surveillance video of the suspects and ask that anyone who has information about the suspects to call detectives in the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6870.
