Champions Sports Bar will open today, October 23 in the former location of Action House Vape at 9433 Georgia Avenue, according to a report from The MoCo Show.
We reported last November that Jennifer Garcia Martinez, listed as the sole owner of Action House Vape & Hookah LLC at 9433 Georgia Ave., had applied for a Class D license. According to the application, the space would be renamed Champions Sports Bar, offer cold deli sandwiches and chicken wings, and operate from 11 a.m.–1 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Martinez, a resident of Brentwood, Md., indicated on the application that there would be seating for 30, plus eight seats at a bar. Local radio DJ Yernandy Rijo is also listed as a partner in the new business filing with the State of Maryland.
According to The MoCo Show, Champions Sports Bar will offer more than 10 TVs. The menu consists of traditional “bar food” with a Latin twist, including Tequeños, Tuna Wraps, Pastrami Sandwiches and more.
Grand Opening hours for Friday and Saturday will be 6 P.M. to 12 A.M., and all Montgomery County COVID-19 regulations will be followed, according to Champions Sports Bar’s post on Instagram.
