Ground, a café and coffee boutique, is scheduled to open Saturday at the corner of Sligo Avenue and Selim Road in the space formerly occupied by Jackie’s Sidebar.

Owner Malede Anteneh, who also owns and operates Balagger Ethiopian Restaurant & Bar next door, said the shop will offer coffee, tea and organic juices as well as beer and wine.

The café will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week serving pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch items as well as salads.
