Downtown Silver Spring Coffee Shop & Roaster Bump’ n Grind has collaborated with Loyalty Bookstore on a curated book pop-up inside Bump ‘n Grind’s storefront at 1200 East-West Highway.
“You like books? We like books! Come shop at our new book store, curated by Loyalty Bookstore, with amazing works for all ages,” reads an email from Bump’ n Grind received by the Source. “Support local business; support artists; support your local economy – now more than ever, we need you.”
The selection is curated by the staff of Loyalty Bookstore, with choices available for adults and children: “There’s something on the shelves for every age. New titles (are) stocked every few weeks, so check back often.”
We reported in July that Bump’ n Grind would take over operations at the Silver Spring Library Café after Kefa Café announced they would depart the location for the Wheaton Library.
In the meantime, Bump ‘n Grind owner David Fogel is working on building a new coffee bean roasting facility in Kensington. “Nearly there!” reads a photo posted to the roaster’s Instagram account last week.
“We’re really focused on trying to be a premier roasting institution for the county,” Fogel said in July, as well as supplying both of his locations.
Earlier this year, after a successful holiday pop-up and crowdfunding campaign, Loyalty Bookstore opened its permanent Silver Spring location at 823 Ellsworth Drive, in the former site of Color Me Mine.
