Detectives Seek Help to Identify Bank Robbery Suspect

Detectives from the county police’s Major Crimes Division have released surveillance video of a suspect in a recent bank robbery and are seeking help to identify him.

The robbery occurred at about 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the TD Bank branch located at 8661 Colesville Rd. in Silver Spring.

“The investigation by detectives determined that the suspect approached a teller and announced the robbery,” according to a press release. “He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.”

Anyone who has information about the suspect or the incident can call the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5100.

Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477), or tipsters can submit information anonymously online. Crime Solvers may pay a reward up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
