Spice Street Plans to Open Next Week for Carryout, Delivery

Spice Street, a restaurant from the owner/operator of Café of India in the District of Columbia, will open for carryout and delivery next week, according to a post on the outlet’s Facebook page.

The management is targeting a mid-week opening and will confirm the date on Monday, according to a reply to a Source inquiry.

Customers will be able to order for curbside pickup or contact-free delivery via the Spice Street website. The menu is available online now.

The restaurant promises to serve “innovative Indian cuisine,” according to owner Navjot Singh.

“It’s going to be a unique menu,” he told the Source in an interview last August. “It’s not going to be traditional curries and samosas and that type of [food]. It’s going to be totally different.”

The restaurant is located at 8242 Georgia Ave., on the ground floor of 8250 Solaire apartments.
