After a year and a half of planning and buildout, downtown Silver Spring coffee shop & roaster Bump ‘n Grind has opened its new roasting facility in Kensington.
“We did it! It only took 1.5 years, but it’s open! We’re thrilled to have received all the licenses and permits regarding our new roastery in Kensington, Md.,” reads an email received by the Source. “We’re excited to welcome you to come and check it out once we’ve got all the bells and whistles clanging.”
The email also notes that all of their roasted coffee is now part of their Conscientious Coffee project, which supports farms and farmers committed to incorporating environmental and socially conscious practices into their work and product.
Coffee drinkers can order beans from Bump ‘n Grind’s website for free next-day delivery in Silver Spring or $3 in surrounding areas.
