County Looking to Hire Urban District Program Manager

The county is looking for a program manager for the Silver Spring Urban District, according to an announcement on the county’s website.

The Urban District staff provides support for the Central Business District, maintaining streetscapes and public amenities including plantings, seating, shelters and public art.

In addition, they provide programming and support for events in the CBD while promoting the commercial and residential interests in the area.

The program manager, who will report to Silver Spring Regional Center Director Reemberto Rodriguez, will manage the district’s staff, including the Red Shirts, as well as maintaining business and community engagement. The chosen candidate also will manage interdepartmental and interagency responsibilities, according to the announcement.
