The Starbucks outlet located at 8399 Colesville Rd. near the Silver Spring Metro entrance permanently closed as of Dec. 27, according to a notice on the door.
The notice, co-signed by District Manager Bridgette Herbert and Store Manager Hosea Gibson, reads in part, “We would like to thank you for being part of our store community; you are the heart of who we are at Starbucks. It has been a great pleasure to connect with you every day.”
Staff members are on site today cleaning up and shutting down operations.
A person who answered the phone this morning told the Source, “We just weren’t making enough money.”
The notice refers customers to other Starbucks locations at 1316 East-West Hwy., 915 Ellsworth Dr., 10103 Colesville Rd., and 10155 New Hampshire Ave.
