Downtown Silver Spring has a new set of seasonal banners that were officially unveiled yesterday afternoon.
The brief ceremony included the presentation of a proclamation from County Executive Isaiah Leggett to Brian Abramson and The Tower Companies for their contributions to the effort to create the banners.
Abramson is the current chair of the Silver Spring Urban District Advisory Committee, which also was involved in the program
The proclamation reads, in part, “You have made this new banners program happen by providing the resources to design, produce and install them.
“Bringing back banners to downtown Silver Spring demonstrates how vibrant this community is and how important it is for us to celebrate our continuing success.”
