Suspect Charged in Ellsworth Place Robbery, Unrelated Carjacking

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have charged Ezekiel David Harris-Goff, age 18, in an armed robbery Dec. 1 in Ellsworth Place Mall.

In addition, Harris-Goff, of an unconfirmed address, has been charged in an unrelated armed carjacking that took place Nov. 2 on 16th Street in Silver Spring.

The Ellsworth Place incident occurred at about 1:45 p.m. at the Fenton Street and Roeder Road entrance. A male and a female victim were assaulted and property stolen from them. The suspects were last seen entering a silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo and fleeing the area.

Detective released surveillance video on Dec. 4, asking for help identifying the suspects.

“Detectives received a tip from a resident that identified Harris-Goff as the suspect seen in the surveillance video wearing the red shirt,” according to a press release. “Third District Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Harris-Goff charging him with the robbery.”

Detectives from the Major Crimes division had investigated the carjacking, identified Harris-Goff as a suspect and obtained a warrant. He was arrested in that case on Dec. 4.

Harris-Goff, who is being held without bond in the county’s detention center, was served and charged on Dec. 23 in the robbery incident. The second suspect has not yet been identified.
