The 29th Season of Shark Week, produced by Discovery Communications, begins this evening at 7pm ET. For the first time, it is premiering the same week in more than 220 countries and territories around the world.
Several local businesses are getting in on the fun, starting with the Shark Week Family Fun Fest, held at the Downtown Silver Spring Fountain Plaza last Friday.
Silver Spring’s Red Rock Films contributed 2 shows to this year’s slate: Return to the Isle of Jaws, which airs Monday, July 24 at 9pm ET, and Shark Storm, which airs Thursday, July 27 at 10pm ET:
