La Casita Pupuseria & Market in the Long Branch neighborhood is one of the best places to get breakfast in the middle of the afternoon, according to Tim Carman of The Washington Post:
There are many great pupuserias in Washington and its suburbs, but I keep returning, again and again, to La Casita. The Silver Spring shop, for example, not only embraces the melting pot concept of America — it sells a pupusa in which the masa has been infused with beets — but also offers two kinds of pupusas: the masa-based pockets and pupusas de arroz, which are hand-formed with rice-flour dough, so mild and chewy when cooked on a hot griddle.
“Thanks, Washington Post for featuring [us] as one of the best places to get breakfast anytime and for a shoutout to our Pink Pupusas,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook. “Get breakfast every day we open at 9 a.m. every day. Order online for pick-up, curbside, or delivery. We are also open for indoor dining with 25% capacity.”
