Goldberg’s New York Bagels in Silver Spring is featured in Eater D.C.’s article, 15 Places to Find Standout Bagels Around D.C.:
This local chain has been supplying D.C. diners with New York-style bagels and bagel sandwiches for nearly two decades. In addition to the Silver Spring location, right off Georgia Avenue, customers can find Goldberg’s shops in Rockville and Potomac. Order via phone or on-site.
The article, from Eater D.C.’s Gabe Hiatt and Lani Furbank, highlights their picks for the best bagels in the Washington, D.C. area. “New York and New Jersey expats have far less standing to gripe about bagels in Washington than they did just a few years ago,” the article’s description reads.
Dan Keleman opened Goldberg’s in the Woodside neighborhood in 2010, according to Washington City Paper. It was the second location to open after the original location opened in Rockville, and they opened their third location in Potomac in 2012.
“Since 2004 Goldberg’s New York Bagels have offered Washington DC and the surrounding metro area with award winning bagels and deli style cuisine,” the local bagel chain’s website reads. “We offer a variety breakfast and lunch options including bagels, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Voted “Best Bagel” by the Washington Jewish Week and the “Top Nosh” award by the Washington Post, we have built our reputation by providing our customers with delicious food and superior customer service. We also offer a catering service for any business meeting or special event.”
Washington, D.C.’s Call Your Mother Deli, also mentioned in the article, can often be found at the Downtown Silver Spring Farmers Market.
