Detectives Seek Help Identifying Assault, Robbery Suspects

County detectives from the 3rd District are asking for the public’s help to identify suspects involved in an assault and robbery March 16 in downtown Silver Spring.

The victim, a 20-year-old female, was walking to her car about 8:08 p.m. in the parking garage located at 8700 Cameron St. when the suspects approached her from behind.

“The suspects assaulted the victim, stole her purse which contained the victim’s credit cards, and fled on foot,” according to a press release. “Fire and Rescue personnel responded and treated the victim at the scene for her injuries.

“The suspects later used the victim’s stolen credit card at a McDonald’s restaurant located inside Washington Union Station at 50 Massachusetts Avenue in Northeast, Washington, D.C.,” the release continued.
