County Detectives Seek Information Related to Friday Carjacking

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are looking to the public for information as they investigate the robbery and carjacking of a food delivery driver outside of the Chick-fil-A at 825 Ellsworth Dr. in Silver Spring.

The incident occurred Friday afternoon, June 11. Officers responded at about 1:45 p.m. to the location where a white 2019 Nissan Sentra was stolen.

As the victim left the restaurant, three Black males approached him and attempted to grab the victim’s car keys from his hands.

“There was a brief struggle and the suspects were able to get the keys away from the victim. All three suspects entered the victim’s vehicle while the victim attempted to open the driver side door, but was pushed away by one of the suspects in the driver’s seat,” according to a press release. “They then drove off in the Nissan.” 

The victim was not injured during the struggle. 

The suspects are described as Black males, dressed in all black, ranging in height between 5’10” and six feet tall. The Nissan has a Maryland registration with tags reading 6EM3337.
