Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring is hosting the Ivorian Economic Cultural Festival today (Sunday, August 8).
The festival, which kicked off at 9 a.m., will run until 10 p.m., featuring music and entertainment, arts and crafts, food vendors, and more.
According to The MoCo Show, the annual festival coincides with the Ivory Coast’s Independence Day, which is celebrated on August 7.
