County, Legal Aid Partner to Distribute Winter Coats

Montgomery County is partnering with Maryland Legal Aid to distribute winter coats today at the Long Branch Library, according to a media advisory.

Hundreds of new coats, provided by Macy’s and Clothes4Souls, will be distributed to men and women who need a warm coat today from 3-6 p.m. at Long Branch Library, located at 8800 Garland Ave. in Silver Spring.

County Executive Marc Elrich; Councilmembers Evan Glass; Will Jawando; Nancy Navarro and Hans Riemer and other County officials will join Maryland Legal Aid Deputy Chief Counsel Amy Petkovsek to help with the coat distribution. Free legal information and advice on civil legal issues will be available.

The Macy’s/Clothes4Souls partnership is in its ninth year, resulting in 270,000 coats distributed nationwide since 2013.
