Silver Spring’s Koité Grill has been named an honorable mention in Washington Post food critic Tim Carman’s “best casual restaurants of 2021.”
“I can’t remember when I have eaten so well, even if many of those meals were consumed in the comfort of my own car,” Carman wrote. “I had a bear of a time narrowing down this year’s list of my 10 favorite restaurants. It could have easily been my top 20.”
Earlier this year, Post critic Tom Sietsema included the Senegalese restaurant in a list of “seven favorite places to eat right now.”
Carman also featured the restaurant in an October column, calling it “standout Senegalese cooking [that] builds on char, smoke, and butchery.”
The menu features Senegalese favorites and daily specials, as well as burgers, wraps, and salads.
Koité Grill is located at 8626 Colesville Rd. Its hours are noon–9 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and noon–9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Monday.
