Silver Branch to Host Betty White Party

Silver Branch Brewing Company will host a party Saturday evening to honor Betty White, who died on December 31 at 99, just weeks before her 100th birthday.

“Join us Saturday, January 15 for a tribute to the prolific life and career of America’s sweetheart, Betty White, on what would have been her 100th Birthday Weekend!”, reads an email announcement. “Enjoy themed cocktails, cheesecake and the best of the Golden Girls on the projector in the taproom.”

The brewpub will also donate a portion of the evening’s sales to Key to Lion’s Heart Rescue, a Derwood-based dog rescue nonprofit. “Raise a glass to Betty for a great cause—A long time champion of animals, Betty White was a philanthropist who frequently donated time and money to animal charities. To celebrate this spirit, we’re donating $1 of each Betty White cocktail to the Key to Lion’s Heart rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization on a mission is to help save lives of animals that are in shelters or abusive and neglectful situations and give them a chance in life as well as educate the community on animal welfare.”

Drink specials at the party Saturday evening include:

  • 100 Proof for 100 Years — Bourbon, Green Chartreuse, and Aperol
  • Rosé Nylund Lemonade — Rosé, Gin, Lemonade, Soda
  • The Rusty Anchor — Scotch, Dry Curaçao, Orange Bitters, and Lemon

The party will start at 5 p.m. Saturday and will run until closing at 11 p.m.
