Firepan Korean BBQ Targeting April Opening

Firepan Korean BBQ’s opening in the former home of Pete’s New Haven Apizza at 962 Wayne Ave. in downtown Silver Spring has been delayed yet again, according to a representative for the restaurant.

“We are targeting [opening at the] beginning of April,” a representative said to the Source via Instagram.

The representative cited delays with construction as the reason for the delayed opening. The restaurant initially targeted a Fall 2021 openingthen delayed to January of this year.

Bethesda Beat reported last November that the Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners approved Firepan’s application for a liquor license.

According to their website, Master Chef Kim describes Firepan’s menu as offering “a varied KBBQ menu, including both unmarinated and marinated meats, seafood, vegetarian selections like kimchi pancakes, and more adventurous options like beef intestines.”

Firepan’s original location opened in 2019 at Eden Center in Falls Church, Va. The DC Post described the restaurant as a great value: “What makes it special is the two all-you-can-eat options it offers for less than $30. For those with really big appetites and on the days you feel like devouring a whole beast, Firepan is the place to go to.”
