DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse is preparing to close its Ellsworth Drive location on Jan. 22, as the retailer will move into new space inside Ellsworth Place at 8661 Colesville Rd. in downtown Silver Spring.
A replacement retailer for the space at 910 Ellsworth Dr. in the Downtown Silver Spring development has not been announced.
We reported last month that DSW expects to reopen inside Ellsworth Place on March 24. According to several reports, it will take over the fourth-floor space vacated by Guitar Center, which is smaller than DSW’s current location.
Guitar Center, which opened in April 2017, closed its Silver Spring location in January of last year following the company’s bankruptcy filing.
