Detectives from the county’s Major Crimes Division are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects caught on surveillance video during an armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in Silver Spring.
“On Monday, January 17, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to the CVS pharmacy in the 9500 block of Georgia Ave. for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred,” reads an MCPD news release.
“The investigation by detectives has determined that the suspects entered the pharmacy, approached the pharmacy counter, displayed a handgun and demanded pharmaceuticals from the employees. The employees complied with the suspects’ demands. The suspects stole pharmaceuticals and medications from the pharmacy and fled the scene.
“One of the suspects is described as a light-skinned Black male, between 18-20 years old, thin build and approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall. He was wearing a yellow knit cap, a black mask, dark colored gloves, white sneakers, dark jeans, and a multi-colored sweatshirt.
“The second suspect is described as a Black male, between 18-20 years old, thin build and approximately 5-feet, 11-inches tall. He was wearing a black mask, black gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray jeans and black shoes.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers can remain anonymous.”
