Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Detectives from the county’s 2nd District Investigative Section are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects caught on surveillance video during a December 4 armed robbery in Silver Spring.

“On December 4 at approximately 8 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 8300 block of Grubb Road for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred,” reads an MCPD news release.

“The investigation by detectives determined that two suspects exited a dark colored BMW and approached the victim, who was in the parking lot. The suspects, both displayed handguns and demanded personal property from the victim. The victim complied with the suspect demands. The suspects then fled the scene with personal property belonging to the victim. Approximately 20 minutes later, the suspects were observed on video surveillance attempting to use credit cards stolen during the robbery of the victim.

“Anyone with information regarding these suspects or this crime is asked to call the 2nd District Investigation Section at 240-773-6710.”
