Silver Spring Man Killed in Stabbing at D.C. Hookah Bar

Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are looking for two suspects in a fatal stabbing of a Silver Spring man early Monday morning at a hookah bar in Northwest D.C.

MPD identified the victim as 42-year-old Kenneth Thomas, Jr. of Silver Spring. WTOP reported that the stabbing occurred just after 1 a.m. Monday morning at Cloud Lounge, located at 1919 9th St. NW in D.C.

“At approximately 1:03 am, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a stabbing,” reads an MPD news release. “Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim, inside an establishment, suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.”

MPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for each homicide committed in D.C. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call MPD at (202) 727-9099 or send a text message to 50411.
