Suspect Sought in Burglary of Wheaton BP Gas Station

Detectives from the county’s 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a March 4 commercial burglary of a BP gas station in the 2200 block of University Boulevard West in Wheaton.

“On Friday, March 4, at approximately 6:50 a.m., 4th District Officers responded to the location for the report of a commercial burglary that occurred earlier,” reads an MCPD news release. “The investigation by detectives determined that the suspect forced entry through the front door. Once inside, the suspect stole property from the shelves and then fled the scene.

“Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the store and obtained a physical description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a White male with a salt and pepper goatee. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans and white Crocs.”
