The Civic Building will host the Love Thy Beer festival this Friday evening, according to a tweet from operations manager Eric Rasch.
About thirty Maryland breweries, including Silver Spring’s Astro Lab Brewing and Denizens Brewing Co., will be offering beer samples at the event, held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the Silver Spring Civic Building in downtown Silver Spring.
The event was originally slated for February but was rescheduled due to the Omicron COVID-19 variant, according to the website DCBeer.com. The beer offerings, changed from winter warmers and stouts, “will now highlight a collection of beers intended to complement early spring,” according to the Brewers Association of Maryland.
Additionally, McGinty’s Public House will offer food at the festival, and live entertainment will be performed by the Noah Pierre Band.
Tickets start at $55 and can be purchased through the Brewers Association of Maryland’s website.
