Denizens Brewing Co. announced today that it has partnered with fellow downtown Silver Spring restaurant All Set Restaurant & Bar and its food truck Money Muscle BBQ for the brewpub’s food offerings.
All Set chef-owner Ed Reavis and partner Jennifer Meltzer will oversee culinary operations at Denizens, and launch an entirely new food menu created in collaboration with Denizens’ co-owners Emily Bruno and Julie Verratti.
“The partnership will allow the businesses to share space and resources, and grants both the opportunity to focus on their respective strengths,” Denizens said in a statement.
According to the announcement, the menu features bar bites including Beer-Battered Onion Rings made with Denizens’ lager, Slow Smoked Wings, and Twisted Bavarian Pretzels. Guests can also enjoy items from the All Set and Money Muscle BBQ menus such as Chef Reavis’ Maine Lobster Roll and Carolina Pulled Pork Sliders, in addition to sharable desserts like Beer Glazed Doughnuts and gooey Nutella S’mores.
The menu, shown below, will debut at Denizens’ Riverdale Park Taproom on Monday, May 9th, and at its Beer Garden in Silver Spring on Tuesday, May 17th.
Eater reported today that Denizens co-founder Julie Veratti, who recently served as a presidential appointee in the U.S. Small Business Administration, returned to her role at Denizens this year. “It was very eye-opening to see what the entire country has been going through during this pandemic,” Veratti said to Eater. “Small business owners are going through a lot. The amount of pain and fear and, quite frankly, trauma folks have been feeling has created this sense of empathy that I now have.”
