Sweet Sweet Kitchen is planning to open a location this summer in the District, according to an Instagram post from the restaurant.
The expansion plans were confirmed by the restaurant’s owner, who would only identify himself as “Chef Mosada”, in a message to the Source.
The restaurant and food truck’s second location will open in the District’s H Street NE corridor, with Falls Church, Va.-based Metropolitan Restaurant Brokers representing the restaurant, Mosada confirmed.
As for the Bonifant St. location, Mosada remains committed to Silver Spring despite the location’s lease expiring in October of 2023. “I will never leave Silver Spring,” Mosada said. “I’m [already] looking for a new location.”
Sweet Sweet Kitchen opened in February 2021 with a menu that included dishes such as curry chicken, oxtail and jollof rice, and cassava leaf options.
