Effoi Restaurant Featuring Ethiopian Cuisine Opens in Addis Ababa Space

Effoi Restaurant, serving primarily Ethiopian cuisines, has opened in the former home of Addis Ababa restaurant at 8233 Fenton St., according to the restaurant’s website.

There will be a grand opening celebration, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 2.

“We will be celebrating our opening [from] noon through the evening and would love to see you there! Featuring:
   – Spacious downstairs and upstairs seating areas 
   – Parking for guests 
   – High-quality delicious food prepared by our experienced chef, Beer, Wine, and Cocktails,” the announcement reads.

The extensive menu includes many dishes familiar to fans of Ethiopian food, such as a variety of kitfos, wots and tibs, including some made with lamb. There are vegetarian, fish and pasta dishes on the menu as well.

Effoi will serve a breakfast menu mostly of Ethiopian dishes but also scrambled eggs and a cheese omelet. There are also sandwiches such as tuna salad and a burger on the menu, and a kids menu.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.
