The Long Branch library at 8800 Garland Ave. is temporarily closed as of today (Aug. 4) for repairs to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, officials announced.
The library is expected to reopen on Monday, Aug. 8.
The book drop for returns will be available, and access to library system’s website will not be affected.
In the meantime, patrons are asked to visit the libraries in Silver Spring, White Oak or Wheaton to check out book and other materials.
The library reopened in January of last year after a 10-month, $4 million renovation project. The HVAC system was not part of that project.
Library users can check online for updates.
