Eater: Quarry House Tavern is an Affordable Dining Option

The quality and diversity of the area’s restaurant scene continue to earn attention and accolades from local and national food media.

Eater has named Quarry House Tavern in downtown Silver Spring one of 16 Excellent and Affordable Dining Options in the D.C. Area:

This is one of Silver Spring’s oldest bars, and it keeps prices low to inflation-proof levels. The bar focuses on Maryland craft beer. Find Baltimore’s Peabody Heights pints of Old Oriole Park for $2.95 at happy hour. Bar snacks like tots, nachos, and fried onion rings are all under $5. Best of all, the live music and vintage, dive bar vibes are free to enjoy.

The downtown Silver Spring basement bar — which has Montgomery County Liquor License #2, according to The MoCo Show — recently won a RAMMY award for Best Beer Program; Thrillist named Quarry House as one of the 19 Best Burger Joints in DC Right Now last June.
