Flip’d by IHOP will open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, with the first 100 guests in line receiving a free Original Pancake Bowl, according to a company announcement.
The Downtown Silver Spring location at 8537 Georgia Ave., the third of the flip’d by IHOP brand, is part of a pandemic-delayed national rollout. The concept’s second location opened earlier this year in New York City; the first opened in Lawrence, Kansas, last year.
“Over the past couple of years, IHOP has learned that consumer needs have shifted. IHOP anticipates delivery and takeout business will continue to grow as consumers gravitate towards off-premise and fast casual dining, making this the perfect time to open flip’d by IHOP,” the company said in the announcement. “The new restaurant addresses a growing consumer demand for made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that are convenient, fast, and fresh, all at a great value.”
The flip’d menu includes pancakes, breakfast burritos, pancake bowls with a variety of sweet and savory toppings, egg sandwiches, burgers, and other sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items. The restaurant will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
