A fundraiser will be held Wednesday evening at Astro Lab Brewing in partnership with the Sebastian Strong Foundation to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.
The Hops for Hope event will feature the release of a new beer, “Liquid Courage,” with a percentage of proceeds going to Children’s National Hospital’s pediatric oncology program.
The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Astro Lab taproom, located at 8216 Georgia Ave. in downtown Silver Spring.
“Join us for the release of a new beer, “Liquid Courage” from Astro Lab Brewing, to honor Isabel “Boom Boom” Krum and her courageous path of recovery, as well as brief comments from a pediatric oncologist from Children’s National Hospital,” the event announcement reads. “Lastly, there will be a special announcement and check presentation to Children’s National from Oscar Ortiz, the Executive Director of the SebastianStrong Foundation. A percentage of proceeds from beer sales will go to support the pediatric oncology program at the Children’s National Hospital in D.C.”
