Suspect and Vehicle Sought in Fatal Shooting of 57-Year-Old Silver Spring Man

Detectives with the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect and vehicle involved in a September 22 shooting that killed 57-year-old Bacilio Villatoro of Silver Spring.

“At approximately 12:41 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the [3000 block of Adams Street, Northeast in the District] for the report of a shooting,” MPD said in a news release. “Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan, with an unknown temporary tag on the rear of the vehicle.

Anyone who has knowledge of the suspect is asked to call MPD at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to MPD’s text tip line at 50411. MPD currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible in this case.
