BLC to Hold Alcohol License Hearing for Sports, Hookah Lounge on Bonifant

The county’s Board of License Commissioners will hold a hearing Thursday, Oct. 20 on the application for an alcohol license for Ivela Sports Lounge & Hookah Bar, according to public records.

The owner, Kaleb Tadele of Catonsville, Md. has applied for a Class B Beer, Wine and Liquor license, which would allow the sale of products on and offsite from 9 .m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Sales for offsite consumption would be allowed from 6 .m. to 1 a.m. every day.

The hearing will be held at 11:30 a.m. at 201 Edison Park Dr.

The lounge will be located at 949 Bonifant St., the former site of the Urban Winery.

On the application, Tadele lists the intended hours of operation as 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, serving “bar apps.”

Simret Nigussie Ayche Larocca will join Tadele in operating the lounge.
