Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit have arrested a Silver Spring man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in the District’s Dupont Circle neighborhood on Thursday morning.
23-year-old Joseph Macklin of Silver Spring was charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse, according to an MPD press release.
MPD said that at approximately 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Macklin approached a victim in the 2100 block of P Street, NW, assaulted the victim, and engaged in a forced sexual act with the victim. The suspect was arrested by responding officers.
