The board of directors of the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce has released the job posting seeking a new president and CEO as the organization prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
Current President and CEO Jane Redicker announced that she would retire in January 2023 after 17 years at the head of the chamber.
One of the primary expectations of the new leader would be to grow the chamber membership and participation by members in chamber activities and advocacy. He or she would also be expected to provide a strategic direction and vision for the organization.
Other principal duties include government and public relations, as well as managing partner relationships, marketing, event planning and management, and the ability to work with the board to provide long-term planning, establish goals and objectives and mange the budget, among other tasks.
