Black Diamond Restaurant & Lounge is set to open in the former TTT/Buena Vida space at 8407 Ramsey Ave. in downtown Silver Spring, according to a report from The MoCo Show.
A liquor board hearing on the application by Emmanuel Mbah on behalf of Blackdiamond Restaurant, LLC, for a Class D, Beer, Wine, and Liquor License, On Sale Only, is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The MoCo Show also reports that the restaurant may open by the end of November, but no specific opening date has been announced. Diners can sign up on the restaurant’s website to be notified of opening plans.
TTT (Tacos, Tortas & Tequila) opened in May 2018 on the ground floor of 8407 Ramsey Ave. A sister concept, Buena Vida, opened on the second level with an expanded menu of more upscale offerings. Owner Ivan Iricanin abandoned the Buena Vida concept in August 2020 in favor of offering the TTT menu throughout the restaurant. TTT closed in November of last year.
Black Diamond Restaurant & Lounge is the latest in a slate of fall business openings in downtown Silver Spring, including The Breakfast Club, Black Lion Café, and Citizens&Culture, as well as the recently-opened Firepan Korean BBQ, Kusshi Sushi and Sashe’s Dominican Beauty Salon & ICU Beauty Bar.
