Detectives Ask for Public Help to Identify Suspect in Takoma Park KFC Robbery

Detectives with the county’s Major Crimes Division have released a surveillance video and are asking for the public help to identify a suspect in a commercial armed robbery in Takoma Park.

The incident took place at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the 7700 block of Blair Road.

“The preliminary investigation by detectives has revealed that the suspect entered the restaurant, displayed a firearm and demanded money,” according to a press release. “The employee complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.”

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet, 7–8 inches tall, weighing around 150 to 160 pounds. His full-face mask reveals only his eyes, while he was wearing a black ball cap, blue hooded sweatshirt with an orange design on the front, black pants and black shoes.
