Two Women Arrested and Charged With Sex Trafficking; Additional Victims a Concern

Detectives from the county’s Vice and Intelligence Unit have arrested and charged 48-year-old Ana Delia Solano of Silver Spring and 49-year-old Ana Cristina Bermudez of Riverdale with multiple counts of sex trafficking and prostitution.

Solano and Bermudez are accused of running an unlicensed spa in the 9500 block of Georgia Ave., where the two women advertised massage services on Craigslist, with sexually explicit photos of women. Detectives observed male clients entering and leaving the “spa” during a five-month investigation and learned that extra services were offered based on the sexual service provided, according to an MCPD press release.

Solano was arrested on November 30 and is being held without bond. Bermudez was arrested on December 1. Her bond status is not currently available.

A number of women were hired by Solano and Bermudez as massage therapists and they are now facing charges of forced sex trafficking and coercion. There is a concern that there may have been additional women hired and potentially victimized by Bermudez and Solano, and detectives are asking them to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding Solano or Bermudez is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police Vice and Intelligence Unit at (240) 773-5958, or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at (866) 411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.
