A Reston, Va.-based cybersecurity firm is expanding into Maryland via a Silver Spring office, according to a report in the Commercial Observer.
Volexity has signed a lease for 2,620 square feet of office space in Argent Spring at 8455 Colesville Rd., across from the Silver Spring Transit Center.
The company provides incident response, network security monitoring, threat assessments and threat intelligence, among other services, along with the products to deliver those services, according to its website.
According Edge, the firm that represented Volexity in the transaction, the building was chosen for its amenities such as a full-service conference room, coffee bar and outside terrace (not to mention Silver Branch Brewing Co.).
“Volexity selected this location for its proximity to amenities, such as restaurants and public transportation, as well as major roadways that provide staff with easy access to the building,” Kristin Rebeck, vice president of advisory services for Edge, told the media outlet. “The company wanted a suite that offered a high-end look and feel. 8455 Colesville Road checked all the boxes.”
