Postal Worker Robbed at Gunpoint in Silver Spring

Police are investigating the robbery of a United States Postal Service mail carrier at gunpoint in Silver Spring on Monday evening.

The armed robbery took place around 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the 800 block of Hudson Ave. in Silver Spring. According to authorities, the gunman demanded personal property from the mail carrier, then fled the scene. The suspect did not obtain the mailbox key.
