Police: Rockville Man Wanted for Murder Arrested in Missouri

Montgomery County Police say that a Rockville man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a 20-year-old woman reported missing on Jan. 3.

Keylin Yolibeth Chavez-Dominguez’s body was discovered under the Paint Branch Overpass of MD 200 – Inter County Connector (ICC) on Jan. 28. Her ex-boyfriend, Francisco Ramon Lara Garcia, 30, was identified as a suspect by detectives from the Major Crimes, Homicide Division.

According to MCPD, Lara Garcia and Chavez-Dominguez lived together when she disappeared.

Lara Garcia was located and arrested on Feb. 1 by U.S. Marshals at a residence in Kirkwood, Missouri. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Lara Garcia on Feb. 13, charging him with first-degree murder.

He is being held in St. Louis, Missouri, awaiting extradition to Maryland.
