The quality and diversity of the area’s restaurant scene continue to garner attention and accolades from local and national media.
Quarry House Tavern in downtown Silver Spring, which won a RAMMY award last July for its beer program, has once again been named by Eater as one of “The Most Lovable Dive Bars Around D.C.“:
Silver Spring’s basement bar stays grounded with plenty of whiskey and graffiti-laced bathrooms. The food menu tries hard to please with elote nachos; burgers topped with everything from fig jam and prosciutto to egg, jalapeño cream cheese, and maple mayo; and beer floats for dessert.
It was named by Eater last year as one of the area’s most affordable dining options; Thrillist named Quarry House one of the area’s 19 Best Burger Joints Right Now last June.
The owners of Quarry House Tavern — which has Montgomery County Liquor License #2, according to The MoCo Show — are set to open a spinoff of Bar Charley this year at the Rio Lakefront Mall in Gaithersburg.
