Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting on Metrobus

Montgomery County and Metro Transit Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred aboard a Metrobus in White Oak on Friday evening.

According to an MCPD spokesperson, officers from the Third District responded to the 14300 block of Lockwood Dr. at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Friday where an adult male had been shot inside a Metrobus operating on the Z6 route.

Despite life-saving measures provided by Montgomery County Fire & Rescue, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. It appears that there was an altercation between the suspect and the victim, and the community is not at risk, MCPD said.
