Montgomery County Police say that they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred last night in downtown Silver Spring.
Officers from the Third District responded at approximately 10:17 p.m. on Sunday to a report of an injured individual in the 900 Block of Bonifant Street, according to police spokesperson Lauren Ivey. When officers arrived, they found one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Ivey said.
