$10,000 Reward Offered in Bonifant St. Homicide

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred Sunday night in downtown Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police.

Third District officers responded at approximately 10:17 p.m. Sunday to the 900 block of Bonifant St. for a welfare check, MCPD said in a news release. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased adult male in a car with an apparent gunshot wound.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, which will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death.

At the present time, there is no suspect in custody. The name of the decedent will be released following proper notification of next-of-kin, MCPD said.
