Royal Farms Planned for Sunoco Gas Station Site

A Royal Farms location is planned for the Sunoco gas station site at 9475 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring, according to applications filed with the county’s Department of Permitting Services.

Certified letters sent to residents by Fairfax, Va.-based Dewberry Engineers included stormwater management concept plans for the site at the corner of Georgia Ave. and White Oak Drive.

According to the letter, written comments regarding the stormwater concept plans can be sent to the county’s Department of Permitting Services.

Construction and opening timelines have not been announced.

Baltimore-based Royal Farms, founded in 1959 and famous for its fried chicken, has been expanding in recent years. Montgomery County’s first location opened in Gaithersburg last year.
