Montgomery County Police say that two men from Capitol Heights have been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on March 5 in downtown Silver Spring.
Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs, both 22 years old, are in custody following the murder of Deandre Keith Ellis, according to an MCPD press release.
Officers from the Third District responded at approximately 10:17 p.m. on March 5 to the 900 block of Bonifant St. for a welfare check. When officers arrived, Ellis was found deceased, in a car, with an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives from Major Crimes developed Kajohn and Ahmahd as suspects during the course of the investigation. Detectives applied for arrest warrants and both suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday, MCPD said.
